Head Injuries and Concussion

It has been brought to my attention that certain referees in Florida are allowing players back into the game after they have previously left the pitch for an actual or suspected head injury/concussion.

There are ABSOLUTELY NO circumstances when this is acceptable. If a player leaves the game for a concussion – suspected or actual – they may NOT rejoin the match at any time.
There is no Head Injury Assessment in the USA for any level of match below a World Rugby sanctioned International fixture.
I do not care if you have a world renowned Neurologist on the sideline who claims the player is fit to continue, it cannot and will not happen.
Hopefully that clears up any confusion, for more detailed information about concussions please go to http://www.playerwelfare.worldrugby.org/concussion
Thanks,
Roy.
