General Provisions:
- Players will meet the 2023 Eligibility Criteria – 2022-23 Regs Updated for Sevens-Clean
- Eligible teams that would like to participate in the South 7s Series must be in good standing with USA Rugby and their local South Geographic Union (GU) or a Local Area Union (LAU) by JUNE 15 at the latest
- Any team wishing to qualify for Nationals must compete in at least two South National Qualifying Tournaments. The team that advances is the one with the most points at the end of the series.
- Each team will be required to check in with a designated South 7s Representative with the required photo identification prior to their first match of each tournament.
- Players may only play for one club in the tournament. A team that uses an ineligible player will forfeit that match and will be disqualified from the tournament.
- Roster Size – see regs above for criteria. Minimum 9, max 13 per event, with no more than 12 per game
- Player Eligibility: Teams will be able to carry rosters comprised of 9 U.S. citizens and a maximum of 3 or 4 *legally residing non-citizens at Club 7s qualifiers and the USA Rugby Club 7s National Championship. This change is to simplify individual player eligibility. * Each Roster may include a maximum of three (3) players who are not U.S. citizens or four (4) provided that one of these players is a Green Cardholder.
- In order to be eligible for nationals, a player must play in at least 2 qualifying events
